This read-only demo makes a core agentic-publishing idea tangible: people and machines can inspect a work’s identity, provenance, permitted public sources, release contract, and access boundary—without treating protected book text as an unrestricted web corpus.

What this demonstrates
- A stable, versioned public context record with separate human and machine-readable views.
- A release manifest that declares scope, delivery mode, provenance, and whether protected text is included.
- A small source ledger that labels each public destination by its permitted role.
- Explicit exclusions that a future tool must respect before it retrieves, compiles, or answers from a work.
What it deliberately excludes
The record does not distribute book chapters, excerpts, a chapter index, chapter-level summaries, a citation list, reader data, or access tokens. It is not a substitute for an authorized edition, and it is not medical or clinical guidance.
Why this matters for agentic publishing
A useful book endpoint needs more than structured metadata; it needs authorization. This public layer demonstrates discovery and provenance while preserving the distinction between information about a book and the book’s protected text. A future authenticated reader service should make the same distinction before answering queries or supplying context to a tool.
Update policy
Version 0.1.0 identifies this public context pack, not the edition history of the book. A new version will be published if permitted public destinations or delivery boundaries change. The machine-readable sources of record are the context JSON and the demonstration release manifest.
